Transfer Cases

The transfer case of your vehicle is an important part in getting your 4-wheel drive vehicle to move. It rotates both drive shafts with the power sent to it from the transmission of your vehicle. If something goes wrong with your transfer case, the 4-wheel drive capability of you vehicle will be weakened or completely lost.

A broken transfer case is something that needs to be fixed right away. If you are seeing any of the following issues with your vehicle, you need to contact us as soon as you can:

  • You can't switch from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive and vice versa.
  • Fluid is leaking from the general area of the transfer case.
  • You hear an unknown noise no matter what gear your vehicle is in.
  • Your vehicle will not stay in 4-low.

Isn't There a Transfer Case in 2-Wheel Drive Vehicles?

The driveshaft of a 2-wheel drive vehicle is controlled directly by the transmission, so when there are problems we usually fix the issue at the transmission.
